Had a good night here but the music was really loud and when I asked the bar staff they didn’t have earplugs?! At any venue these days they always have earplugs available especially when the music is that loud. Shame! And also not cool…

Ferdydurke is a really cool little hidden gem. Located down one of the many ally ways of Melbourne this hidden bar is a greatly cool place to head off to on a night out. Though it can get a little hot and crowded on a weekend it has levels of outdoor terraces and some nice open space at the top. Any night during the week I’m sure would be a lot less crowded. It does have a great themed vibe with new themes and guests every day of the week to entertain. With DJ’s, great drinks and some really nice spaces it’s well worth the visit.

Fantastic place to have some really funky drinks! I run the History of Drinking tours in Melbourne and the service is always exceptional! Special mention to barman extraordinaire Alex Danks! Cheers!🥂 Two exciting cocktails whipped up effortlessly by Alex, the first, a rhubarb infused one and the second, an exotic lychee infused delight!🍹

Easily one of my favourite, intimate bar spaces in Melbourne. Located right next to the institution that is Section 8, Ferdydurke provides a more relaxed environment, while still serving the up big vibes from a selection of international and local underground artists. A space for all tastes, Ferdy provides for a great place for an intimate date with a partner, or a big night with the lads.

Shout out to Kim! Hands down the best bartender. We're from out of town and have visited quite a few bars around Melbourne - but this one has been our favourite because of Kim. Thank you for your hospitality

One of the most unique bars I’ve ever been to in my life. There are a lot of stairs, a wonder woman action finger, lots of greenery and funky grungey vibe. I love it. Great cocktails as well. It’s a must see. The balconies overlook Section 8 which is also a vibe. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Charming old building which I believe used to be a dentist? Excellent cocktails and service by bar staff. Laid back atmosphere. The only issue was the evening I attended, the security at the door tried to refuse a girl with a guide dog.

Went in and loved the berlin look of it all. But asked the bartender if they had any vegan cocktails - he looked at me stupid and said in a very rude way “no puh, I can get you water” and left. So did I.
